What does the Monitoring service do?

Projects, outcomes and activities

Each project holds its outcomes (outputs, outcomes and impact) and the activities that serve them, with planned and actual dates. An activity whose planned end passes is marked Delayed for you.

Indicators against targets

Baseline, target, direction, unit, data source, frequency and disaggregation for each indicator. Its status compares the latest value with the target: Achieved, On track, At risk or Off track.

Monitoring plans and reminders

A plan for each indicator you collect more than once. The responsible officer is reminded when a value is due within 3 days and when a period ends with no value.

One dashboard per project

Activities done, delayed activities, indicator periods on track, linked surveys and open complaints, with indicator progress, active risks and the latest complaints below.

Risk register

What has not happened yet and would hurt the project, with likelihood, impact, a mitigation plan and a status: identified, mitigated, escalated, resolved or accepted.

Donor reports

A snapshot of the project at one moment: indicators, activities, risks and complaints. The figures are fixed when you generate the report, so generate it after the period's data is in.

Set up a project in three steps

  1. 1 Create the project and add its outcomes and the activities that serve them.
  2. 2 Add an indicator for each outcome, with baseline, target and direction, and a monitoring plan for the ones you collect regularly.
  3. 3 Record values as they come in, follow the dashboard, and generate a donor report at the end of each period.

It compares the latest actual value with the target: 100% or more is Achieved, 80 to 99% On track, 50 to 79% At risk, under 50% Off track. A forecast next to it also considers how much time has passed.
No. The figures are frozen when the report is generated. A report generated too early stays as it was; generate a new one.
Yes. The dashboard counts the surveys linked to the project and the complaints and feedback still open or in review, and lists the latest open complaints.
